Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Ft Wayne has 2 Chipotle locations ... skip this one. Too small, too slow, mis-managed staff. We drive the extra miles to go to Chipotle on the south west. We still like the food better than the other burrito brands popping up, just not this location.

A somewhat "healthier" fast food option in the area. I enjoying getting salads here. The downside to this place is limited seating, and it often gets crowded during weekday lunch hour.

It was my first time trying Chipotle and I have to say I was impressed, they use organic meat and vegetables, everything is made fresh to order, it is fast food but probably the healthiest version one may find. I like how our dish tasted, we had beef with rice and veggies, mild. Very nice place. The price of our dish was around $10. This particular restaurant is quiet small, so I can imagine it getting busy during lunch hour.

Really good for fast food, but still fast food. The steak burrito is huge by the time you get all the fixings on it, and it tastes good too.

This restaurant is dirty. The staff is very rude and sloppy. I would hope that the management would notice the unclean eating areas and have the staff clean in place of chit chatting and constantly wiping their noses and then touching the food bar. If I owned or operated this location I would be embarrassed to admit it.

Today this Chipotle was especially busy. The burrito was very good with the pork meat and pinto beans. The rice was tasty and cooked well. Can't complain about anything here.

Insanely slow workers. Line wrapped around the drinking station and everyone was unhappy.

Everything besides cheese on the quesadilla was extra. And I had to cut my own quesadilla into slices. No thanks.

I'd hate to have to update on this location again, even with my last review being more positive. However, last night we went in about 9:15pm and order 2 bowls a drink and chips. After sitting down and taking a few bites we both realized the rice was under-cooked and mostly raw. They made us two new bowls and guess what? More gritty under-cooked rice, they noticed our reaction to the new bowls and refunded us for the bowls, not the chips or drink. We left and went to Penn Station.

Really not 100% sure I fully understand the 'reputation' of this particular Chipotle... Pros: + It's Chipotle, delicious delicious meat, overly fatty burrito shells with an almost uncanny ability to have a similar addictive ability to crack (bowls will help you save some calories... think over 200), flavor packed salsa, and generally wholesome, recognizable ingredients. All well prepared, and ready to go into whatever food conveyance strategy (handheld, utensil, other?) that you might choose. + Great portion size + Easy to spot building + Reasonably priced. Cons: - The person who called the cashier scary is kind of right. There's just something unnerving about the way they stare... - The guac is still overpriced. - There's a lack of tables, but plenty of bar space. This is alright, but not ideal. Meh: = Not the best or worst Chipotle staff I've ever encountered, they work at a reasonable pace though. = Yes, you can see a gentlemen's club, but where in this area of town can't you? It's even possible to see one from the mall... Overall, it's a delicious, clean, Chipotle. Not revolutionary, but better than average fast food. Definitely worth it when looking for a quick lunch, especially for mexican / tex-mex.

"Fort Wayne has managed to screw up Chipotle," said my wife. And at least this location she was right. All turkey'd out over the Thanksgiving holiday, my kids started to crave Chipotle. There really isn't a better place to eat 1,500 in one sitting and not feel too bad about it. We were in from out-of-town so my daughter got on her iPod and found the nearest location. We drove to it. This one sits on a prominent corner of a busy street next to a Hooters, next to a strip club, next to a check cashing place. Has Ft. Wayne ever heard of zoning? It wasn't really a block I wanted to drive by much less eat on. But we stuck it out. I had visions of describing lap dances to my 9-year old over Chipotle's patented rice delivery mechanism. Inside, a guy threw a tortilla on the grill thingy but apparently forgot to turn it on. Some other lady yelled at me "What meat?". A nice lady at least smiled and sauced us. At the register was a very scary looking woman who stared at us as our burritos made it down the little assembly line. Scary lady cashed us out. All the while I guy standing at the grill behind the line was talking to some woman in the dining room - over the heads of all of us. No ice in the ice machine. I approached the scary looking cashier lady who said "I'm working on it." as I walked in her direction empty cup in hand. We sat down to our sloppily made burrito with cold tortilla and wondered how. How could you screw up a Chipotle? They managed it.
